I am a self taught artist, born in the sixties and living with my wife and three children on the outskirts of Bristol in the UK.
I always had a passion for drawing back in my school days and was convinced that when I 'grew up', I would be an 'Artist'. Whilst I achieved my A level art, life didn't quite turn out as I had initially planned and I ended up pursuing a different career.
During the next twenty/thirty years I picked up my paint brushes / pencils only a handful of times, but it wasn't really until the Autumn of 2009 that I began to seriously get back into my art. My wife and I spent a weekend on the South Coast and whilst there we visited numerous art galleries and studios during an annual art festival. This was enough to inspire me to have another go, so I promptly bought myself some new paints and started painting again.
I have now sold a few paintings at exhibition and have also taken a number of private commissions including many pet portraits.
I love the challenge in achieving a good likeness and I try to capture your pets personality.
I use coloured pencil, acrylic or oil paints and whilst I enjoy producing pet portraits I would be interested in discussing any requirements you may have.
